Stand Mixer
I have waited for years to buy one of these. It's a great mixer for a great price.

great!!!!
The kitchenaid is great!!! I am always baking cakes and I have to say I don't know how I survived without it!!! My only complaint (well it is my fault) dont leave your paddle or any attatchments with a drop of water on it...I didn't dry it off all the way after handwashing and the finnish came off in a few spots! :(

Nice to have!!!
Everything came perfectly, I highly recommend this Mixer if you like to cook and even if you're starting your own business, it is good to have it!!!! It HELPS A LOT...

Needs faster top speeds.
I like my Kitchen Aid mixer but I can't say that I love it. I like the 9 speed settings but I do not find the top speeds to be fast enough to quickly whip things (such as egg whites) but I do like the powerful lower settings. My husband really appreciates how quiet it is compared to my last mixer. The beater design is different but does mix cookie dough (even the heavy doughs!) with no problem. A well made, quality mixer and a fun color but the lack of faster top speeds makes me give this mixer only 4 stars instead of 5.

Great mixer
I seem to go through a lot of mixers...in the past five years, I've owned several, including some pricy brands. When the mixer release button on my trusty Cuisinart snapped off, I decided it was time to give the Kitchen Aid a try.

So far, so good...

Performance-wise, the Kitchen Aid is everything I hoped for. I own one of their standing mixers, and this one seems to have the same beefy performance without having to lug twenty pounds of metal onto the kitchen counters. The range of speeds is excellent, it starts and stops quickly, seems powerful even at low speed. Overall, you can't ask for more in a hand mixer.

I like the unique bold colors and appearance of this item...it gives me a little chuckle every time I pick up my banana colored mixer. That, plus the fact that it seems easy to clean and so far has stood up to regular use without a hitch adds up to a five star product for me.

Mine stopped working too!!
I was so happy with my Kitchen Aid Professional 9. It has done everything beautifully. Then, after about 18 months it just stopped working. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I tried everything I knew with no luck. Since the warranty has expired I'm out of luck. I'm incredibly disappointed because I have really enjoyed it but I don't want to take the risk of spending $70 or $80 on another one that will stop working. My previous hand mixed worked for 20 years and the only reason I replaced it was because it was falling apart.

KitchenAid Food Tray Attachment for Stand Mixer
This is really a must have for anything you want to do with the KitchenAid regarding grinding meats/making sausage or with the strainer attachment for fruits and vegetables. The food tray that comes built into the grinder simply is too small to accommodate any quantity of product and leads only to frustration. The food tray comes in the usual excellent KitchenAid quality: durable, easy to use and easy to clean. I have avoided making tomato juice for years. But with the combination of a juicer/steamer and the KitchenAid grinder/strainer with the food tray attachment it is very efficient.

works well
Works well, attaches easily, and stays secure. Supports a full load of tomatoes easily. Cleans up and stores in box in a snap.

Don't struggle with a small platform -
This is a must have for anyone who is doing bulk foods whether with the grinder, grater or food strainer. Why struggle with such small amounts when you can load the tray and control how much you push through at a time.

Looks Can Be Deceiving
My mixer arrived in one piece. I immediately noticed that it was more chrome-look plastic than actual steel, like a professional model. The mixing stem is removable for easy cleaning, but during operation it seems to need a lot of help to mix ice cream (maneuvering the cup up and down to "jiggle" the contents). I think this may be due to the fact that the end of the stem is just a small rippled plastic paddle, not a steel, winged blade like a professional model. The steel cup is smaller than I expected, but it holds plenty of liquid. The tilt head feature is nice, and the motor has two speeds.

Pros and Cons, it can do the job if done a certain way...
I was expecting a metal unit, but it seems to be chrome on plastic. I guess I got what I paid for, but it's ok. Hopefully, it will last if we don't drop it or bang it around. Regardless, hubby was happy to see it on the counter.

I found that I couldn't put too much in at a time or it wouldn't mix well. I made a mess on the first try. It did better when I put the milk in first, then some ice cream, started mixing and then added some more ice cream. I did have to turn the cup some (if you've ever watched them at the malt shop, they turn the cup several times as it's mixing). That works better than pumping the cup up and down.

It comes with the metal cup. Hubby likes to drink out of that (if you've ever been to a malt shop, that's what they serve it in), so it's nice to have another cup to use for someone else.

There is a little ridge the cup sits on. I was afraid the cup would fall off while mixing, but it didn't. I like that feature because you don't have to constantly hold the cup (a feature I made sure it had before buying).

I also found that although the cup is an ok size, there wasn't enough room between the cup rim and unit to easily add ice cream without getting some on the unit (I guess they expect you to put everything in first?). But that aside, the overall performance was ok.

Just remember not to fill it up too much at first. Add milk first so the little mixer blade will have something liquid to start with, then several scoops of ice cream. Place cup on ridge and start mixing until you see it start to swirl around. Add more ice cream along the side while it's mixing until it's thick enough. I found a spoon works better than a scoop because the ice cream will be thinner and not make (as much of) a mess going in. Turn the cup a little at a time and you'll see it swirl around more as it grabs and mixes up the ice cream

It would be nice to have a push button or something to make the blade shaft pop out. You have to give it a good yank to pull it out. It's easy to clean, though. When you push it in, make sure you hear it snap into place.

The Malt Shop
The DrinkMaster is simple to use and to clean up. I was disappointed with the size. I thought it was larger. Overall I am satisfied with the item.

powerhoues
great mixer loads of power works a like breeze even with really thick batter

Excellent and Reliable Mixer
I own the Cuisinart Power Advantage 5-Speed Handheld Mixer since early Apirl 2009 and I am quiet happy with it thus far. In all fairness, this is my second handheld mixer and my previous mixer (Proctor Silex 62535 Bowl Rest 5-Speed Mixer, White) was a very weak mixer, which simply did not have the power to mix any semi-thick dough. This Cuisinart mixer has significantly more power (220 Watts) and has little trouble mixing most dough. In my opinion, the slow speed is a bit too fast. Beside the power, the mixer has three other features which I like a lot. First, it can sit nicely on a mixing bowl (when the power is off). Second, the power cord can swing left or right to allow the unit to sit upright. Third, the beaters are easy to clean. Finally, the beaters can be effortlessly ejected by using the level. Looking at the photo, you may think this mixer has a semi-dull black. In reality, it has a shiny glossy black, which I think, looks even better.

In summary, this is a wonderful, powerful and affordable handheld mixer.

Update:

I do have one compliant. Years ago, customers were able to take their home appliances apart to fix them. Unfortunately, this mixer is not one of those. Cuisinart have sealed off the screw holes and prevented customers from opening up the mixer. My mixer was making some scratching noises and I could tell it just needed some machine oil/lubrication. Instead of taking the unit apart and adding oil, I had no choice but to pour the oil from outside through the fan exhaust hole, hoping it will get to the place. It did somewhat, and now the noise has been minimized. However, it should have been more straightforward than this.

I still think this is a very nice mixer for its utility and affordable price, and I would still strongly recommended other potential buyers to consider it. However, it would have been nicer if the screw holes are not sealed.

I recomend buying this product
I'm very happy with my mixer. It seems to be better quality than most. It does seem heavier than most hand mixers but I don't mind. It is very powerful on the lowest setting but again, I don't mind.
